Sometimes life throws you a curveball (or several) and training just doesn’t happen.
Due to some unforeseen life circumstances and being just too darn busy, I haven’t been running or working out consistently for almost 6 weeks now and I am sure feeling the effects of it: unmotivated, sluggish and out of shape!
Sometimes the only thing to do when this happens is double down and welcome the opportunity to start fresh. Build back your fitness from the ground up, literally.
It’s time to get back on track and we all know that for any kind of goal, whether it be weight loss, training for a race, or saving money consistency is king.
So let’s not wait till January 1st to make those resolutions to start working out, join the L2S “Do Something Active Everyday in December” Challenge so that we can begin building new habits now and set ourselves up for success in the New year.

Anything goes, it just has to be something where you are moving for at least 10 minutes. Hiking, walking, running, yoga, snow-shoeing, stair climbing, strength training. It all counts! The goal is to take action, even on days we aren’t feeling up for it to at least do something. Building new habits takes time and perseverance, however, “Your actions become your habits, Your habits become your values, Your values become your destiny.”
― Mahatma Gandhi
Monthly tracking calendar:
Download, print and put this somewhere you will see everyday. Seriously, this may seem so old school when we have calendars and apps available with a simple swipe of the hand but having something staring you right in the face that you can’t just turn off or ignore will keep you on track and motivated. I recommend hanging this on your fridge, bathroom mirror or somewhere visible in your workspace (or all)!.
