Located in Colorado near Winter Park, Rocky Mountain National Park and Grand Lake, Snow Mountain Ranch offers a tranquil setting and more activities than anywhere else in the state.

Our expert local guides have planned a long weekend full of adventurous activities for all levels. Please see our sample itinerary below to get a feel for what the trip will entail. Offerings are subject to change depending on weather and availability but our goal is to provide action packed days with as many activities as you’d like to participate in with free time to unwind and/or explore the ranch!
Sample itinerary:
Thursday
2pm: Group carpool meetup (tbd)
4pm: Arrival, check-in and meeting.
4:30pm: Mindful movement fall colors hike with Kriste Peoples!
Looking to enjoy the practice of mindfulness in a nature setting while also getting fit? This special session will include conversation on land acknowledgment, intention-setting, meditation, discussion about mindset, caring for the earth, gratitude, safe engagement on the trails, the importance of body-mind-spirit connection.
We will take in the fall foliage as we hike to a waterfall! (3 miles).
6:30pm: Dinner at the Indian Peaks Lodge
Friday
Morning:
Early Breakfast at the Indian Peaks Lodge and carpool to Shadow Mountain lake for a peaceful SUP surrounded by fall colors and towering peaks. SUP rental included in fee, $50 discount if you bring your own SUP.
Friday afternoon:
A local instructor will guide us through an hour of yoga for all levels designed to relax, energize and empower us.
Friday evening:
Dinner at the Indian Peaks Lodge then Fireside Social w/smore’s and drinks.
Saturday
Morning:
Guided sunrise hike + photography session with The Hiking Mermaid (local professional adventure photographer) exploring world class trails in Rocky Mountain National Park!
Lunch out at a local restaurant TBA.
Saturday afternoon:

Saturday evening: Dinner the Indian Peaks Lodge AND Fireside Drinks and Social.
Sunday Morning:
Breakfast at the Indian Peaks Lodge then half day guided mountain biking adventure!
SMR boasts miles of beginner to advanced trails through a winter wonderland of dense large aspen groves, towering pines and open fields with sweeping views of the surrounding snow capped peaks. For more experienced riders we can shuttle to world class trails outside of the ranch or hit up Trestle bike park at Winter Park (if still open). Mountain biking rental fee included in trip cost, $50 discount if you bring your own bike (must be a mountain bike with front suspension).
*For those not interested in mountain biking there will be the opportunity to join an alternative activity, options TBA but may include hiking, fishing/fly fishing lesson, etc.
Sunday afternoon:
Lunch at the Indian Peaks Lodge before heading back home after an action packed long weekend with new friends!
About the lodging:
All Rooms at the Lodge have a queen size bed and 2 bunks. This is hotel style lodging with a common area and buffet style meals in the main lodge (shared with other ranch guests).
Price includes room based on occupancy, dinner Thursday, all meals Friday + Saturday, breakfast + lunch Sunday and all listed activities and rentals. We have access to the grounds all day Friday-Sunday and there is a variety of activities to try during our downtime.
Who is this retreat for?
This retreat is for anyone and everyone. No previous experience necessary for any of the activities, all fitness levels welcome. Our hikes, rides and SUP outings will be designed to accommodate all paces, we will stop frequently for water/snack breaks and to take in the scenery and plenty of pictures of course! (Isn’t that what it’s all about anyways?)

*For those coming from out of state try to schedule a flight that arrives by noon on Thursday and leaves no earlier than 5pm on Sunday.
